Cherry Mobile Cosmo X2 Full Review

The Cherry Mobile Cosmos X2 (also known as Konka V981) touts a 4.8-inch HD (1280x720) Super AMOLED HD display that is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 panel. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, the dual-SIM Cosmos X fluidly runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. It also has a 1GB RAM plus 16GB of internal storage with microSD support up to 32GB, 18-megapixel BSI main camera coupled with an 5-megapixel BSI shooter in front and a 2,200mAh battery.

The Cherry Mobile Cosmos X2 also has unique features similar to Samsung’s Smart Stay. Electronic license plates?

This is the question playing in the heads of many Californians right now. A bill has been passed to allow for a pilot program that will test alternative methods of displaying registration information of cars - much like an iPad as a license plate.

Aside from the license number and registration date, the electronic license plate can also display the state of the car. Authorities can, for example, display "STOLEN" on a stolen car or "EXPIRED" if the registration is already expired.

Use for Advertisements

Aside from license number, these electronic license plates can also display advertisements for brief periods of time like when the car is parked. Of course, the company that will offer the service gets the revenue but owners can choose what advertisements they want to display.

The government can also benefit a lot from electronic license plates since license plates won't be replaced for several years. Registration dates and design on the display can just be updated.

Security Issues

Now you might be thinking about security. What if the bad guys steal these displays? Can the government track me using my electronic license plate?

Funny that this news coincided with reports that the NSA can crack encrypted messages. Furthermore, the patent of these electronic license plates indicates the use wireless methods in updating their content. GPS can also be used to track the position of a car using an electronic license plate.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is set to wow users in the tablet arena and further solidifies the Korean giant’s dominance in all mobile categories.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a welcome refresh to an already spectacular product. Depending on the market, the slate comes with either a quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400 processor or an octa-core processor based on Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 architectures. The higher display resolution provides a visual experience similar to what Apple calls Retina viewing.

There’s the new Air Command that the stylus can invoke anywhere on the screen, opening applicable shortcuts and controls. Multitasking just got easier due to multimode windows, allowing users to transfer content between apps. Even a singular app can be opened in two separate windows.
