SCARE TACTICS _PosterPRLog (Press Release) - Mar 18, 2012 -
Film fans can now get a sneak peek of writer/director Gregory Blair’s SCARE TACTICS with the teaser trailer just released this week.  Tight and tense, the teaser is guaranteed to peak interest and leave people wanting more.

Horror movie favorite Bill Oberst, Jr. appears as Grafton Torn—a man haunted by terrifying images that may or may not be lost memories.   Filled with classic horror images, the trailer fulfills the promise Blair has put forth that the film is a valentine to the genre:  hatchets, bloody knives, guns, creepy shadows and more flash across the screen in a phantasmagoria.  Clever metaphoric images are juxtaposed to augment the mystery:  a finger furiously hits the “delete” button on a computer in between shots of bodies being dragged across a floor and bloody knives being washed in a kitchen sink.  One question becomes clear:  has Grafton deleted parts of his life for real?

Co-producer Roxy Shih of Good Kids Productions said “Gregory’s script was so smart and twisted, I knew he’d come up with a trailer that would be a great example of what was to come”.

The trailer is available on the SCARE TACTICS Indiegogo page at http://www.indiegogo.com/SCARE-TACTICS?a=427679.  “Indiegogo is a great crowd-funding tool,” Gregory says.  “Independent productions need as many avenues to raise funds as possible.  We already have some corporate sponsorship, but the more money we can raise, the better equipment and people we can continue to attract to the project and the better the film will be.  So, if you’re reading this, please go to our Indiegogo page today and donate some money in exchange for some cool perks.  You’ll instantly and literally be a part of the movie!”

SCARE TACTICS begins shooting later this year.  For updates, visit the Indiegogo page http://www.indiegogo.com/SCARE-TACTICS?a=427679 or the official site at www.scaretacticsthemovie.com.

In a post-credits scene of “Captain America: The Last Avenger,” a teaser for the 2012 movie “The Avengers” was shown.

Take a sneak peek of the highly-anticipated film “The Avengers” which was shown at the end part of “Captain America: The First Avenger.”

If you already watched Captain America and left the theater at the time the credits started to roll, then like me, you missed the teaser for “The Avengers.”

I’m not sure if this is the same thing that’s been shown in Philippine theaters, but nevertheless, some clips from Avengers were indeed shown featuring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, etc.

Before he plays Superman, Henry Cavill will portray a stonemason named Theseus first in “The Immortals.”

The synopsis goes like this: The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army rampage across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king’s mission.

As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge his mother, who was killed in one of Hyperion’s brutal raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man’s future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final, desperate battle for the future of humanity. Immortals is produced by Gianni Nunnari (300), Mark Canton (300) and Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter).

The movie is set to open in theaters on November 11, 2011.
