Eminent Photo Launches Free Photo Gallery

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 22, 2012 -
Eminent Photo is a site offering photography prints mainly within landscape, wildlife, and other nature-related categories. The site also hosts a photo blog that offers tips and tricks for beginners and aspiring photographers. On 22 March 2012, Eminent Photo launches its free photo gallery, which also focuses on nature and wildlife images.

You can view the free gallery at this URL: http://www.eminentphoto.com/free-images/

"This is not one of those royalty-free photo sites where you have to end up paying money," says Alan Frost, the owner of the site. "These photographs are completely free and ready to download."

The images are available in a standard 1200x1800 resolution, with file sizes of about 1 MB. Current categories include mammals, birds, insects, landscapes, flora and so on. The gallery will initially feature a few hundred free photos, but this number will increase rapidly over the coming months. For the immediate future, the free photo gallery will only contain nature-related images, but will likely be extended to include other kinds of photos at a later date.

The only restriction that Eminent Photo places upon the use of the photographs downloaded from the free gallery, is that they may not be redistributed.

"Nothing is required from the user, not even registration," says Alan Frost. "However, crediting or linking back to our images would be very much appreciated as it would allow us to improve our free gallery more quickly."

Captured alive, the giant crocodile weighs around 2,370 pounds or 1,075 kilograms.

According to the town Mayor Edwin Cox Elorde it took almost 100 people to place the reptile in a fenced cage. The mayor also said that they are planning to build an eco-tourism park for species found in a vast marshland in Agusan (an impoverished region about 515 miles southeast of Manila) featuring the giant crocodile.

The giant crocodile was first seen by local farm villagers killing a water buffalo (carabao) last month and was also suspected of having attacked a fisherman who went missing in July, according to reports.

After they spotted the giant reptile, villagers and members of the crocodile farm staff set four traps, which the giant crocodile destroyed. They then used sturdier traps using steel cables, one of which finally caught the giant crocodile late Saturday.

Here is his tweet:

“@RachelNichols1 I do not believe that story about Matthew Fox assulting that woman Saturday night. I saw him that night. He was fine. smh”

According to a police report obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, the actor attempted to hitch a ride to his hotel aboard a private party bus. The driver, a 29-year-old female, blocked the entrance and informed Fox that he could not board, as the bus had been rented out exclusively.

How to capture the silly seconds before a photo is taken

GLMPS

Something very special tends to happen in the moments right before a photo is taken — someone makes a goofy face, awkwardly fusses with his clothes, breaks into an impromptu dance, or looks at the camera in fear. No matter what the silly action is, it's a shame to miss capturing it.

That's where a new iPhone app called GLMPS comes in.

GLMPS is available for free through the Apple App Store and it gives you a way to capture the magical seconds between "Let me take a photo!" and the click of a digital shutter.

You don't need to actively do anything other than use the GLMPS app. It automatically records video while it's open and turns the five-second period before each photo is snapped into a little video clip. This little bonus gives your photos context and lets you always capture those silly moments before people pose properly.
