Ana Julaton Defeats Jessica Villafranca, Retains WBO Title

Ana Julaton, touted as “the Hurricane,” defeated Mexican Jessica Villafranca last Saturday, October 1, via unanimous decision.

The scores were 97-92, 96-93 and 98-91, all in favor of Julaton despite the fact that referee Miguel Angel Canul deducted a point from Pinay boxer in round six for holding and hitting behind the head.

Julaton now has a record of 10 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. She retains her WBO female super bantamweight title.
