Tech21 cases are known for their slim looks without compromising the slimness of your device. The magic lies not in the case itself but on what’s embedded on it.
D30-material
The secret ingredient for Tech21’s cases is an impact material called D30. A compound that’s composed of a non-Newtonian polymer with an intelligent molecular structure. It can be freely molded but once impact is applied, the molecules bond tightly together to absorb and repel the impact.
D30-experiment
As an experiment, a raw form of D30 which looks like your average clay or putty is wrapped and molded around the finger. Heavy objects are then used to pound on the finger with minimal impact to the person. They can feel the impact but significantly weak as the D30 absorbs the force. This material is widely used in military protective wear such as helmets and bulletproof vests, and also in extreme sports wear such as motorbike gloves and paddings.

A little D30 can go a long way that’s why Tech21 cases can afford to be slim. Some cases are made of TPU or thermoplastic polyurethane, while some are made of silicon, with D30 injected on impact points on the sides. There are also leather cases with D30 embedded within the seams.

Right now, cases are available only for the iPhone 5, iPad mini, and Samsung Galaxy S4. There are bumper cases, silicon cases, and folio cases. Prices range from Php950 to the most expensive which is the Php2,200 Special Ops Patrol for the iPhone 5 consisting of a silicon case enclosed in a hard shell case.

The cases for the iPad mini are reasonably priced with the silicon back case which goes well with an Apple Smart Cover retailing for only Php1,250. The Impact Folio Leather for the iPad mini is priced at just Php1,850.
Tech21 cases are already available at top gadget accessory resellers such as Astroplus, Astrovision, Beyond the Box, Digital Hub group of stores, Switch, R.O.X., Techoholics, iStore, iStudio, and more.

Got yourself a brand new Galaxy S 4? Are you looking for some fun mods to make it truly your own? If you’re about to apply some custom “ROMs” that really happens to be more of a theme than a ROM, you should consider trying something new using the Xposed Framework instead.
Not too long ago, we talked about the relatively newXposed Framework by XDA Recognized Developer rovo89 and how it enables end users to apply modifications that would otherwise require flashing update.zip files. In addition to making the experience safer for guinea pigs testers, Xposed also makes the process significantly easier and less intimidating to new users, as long as the framework is present in the installed ROM.
Making use of rovo89′s tool, XDA Recognized Developer Nottach has released an Xposed module to give your device some added personality and features. Known as NottachXposed, this module overhauls your AT&T Galaxy S 4′s status bar, launcher, lock screen, framework, messaging app, and more. Here are some

Despite its end-to-end encryption feature, conversations made on Skype aren’t as secure and private as most of its users think. A recent report by Ars Technica shows that Microsoft is snooping over Skype messages.
In a test that was coordinated with security researcher Ashkan Soltani, Ars sent four URLs through Skype and found that two of them were accessed by a computer with an IP address owned by Microsoft. An earlier experiment was conducted by The H Security and showed similar results. Both tests are proof that Microsoft is no doubt reading and monitoring Skype messages. Even if Skype currently employs 256-bit AES encryption to secure end-to-end communications, Microsoft is capable of decoding the encrypted messages and turning them back into their human-readable form.
If you have read Skype’s privacy policy, you may be aware that Skype may use automated scanning in order to identify malicious links. Furthermore, there are also rare situations where Skype performs manual reviews of instant messages for the same reasons. But given as it’s a lengthy disclosure on how the software giant handles the confidentiality of personal data, the privacy disclosure is something that most users have ignored.
To be fair, Microsoft’s monitoring behavior is understandable. After all, it has to ensure that its VoIP service is not taken advantage by ill-intended users. At least now you’re aware that your communications may be read by someone other than their intended recipients, not exactly as private as you previously might think. Perhaps it’s time to search for another messaging service if you want more privacy.

Every app you install in your buzz yield some accumulator amplitude and runs some accomplishments processes. The added accumulator amplitude active or the added accomplishments processes active on your phone, the slower your phone's performance.

Disable Unnecessary Apps
'˜Performance assistant' was alien in Android ICS to advice you attenuate apps that you don't need. Disabling apps is altered from uninstalling apps“ uninstallation abolish appliance files from the buzz but no book is removed/deleted if you attenuate it. But it adds not alone accommodation but aswell acceleration to the mix. You can get amid 2GB to 32GB account of accumulator amplitude to abutment top acceleration read/write operations. Always go for anamnesis cards of Class 6 or Class 10 for your Android buzz if you seek achievement for your phone

They do accept their uses but buck in apperception that accepting too abounding of them alive on your homescreen will could cause your device's achievement to apathetic down.

Avoid Reside Wallpapers

So anticipate it through afore you use this adjustment to enhance the achievement of your Android.

Use Lightweight Accomplishments Apps
Everyone enjoys alert to music but brainstorm how abundant anamnesis the music amateur app requires to play a accomplished anthology for you. It's the aforementioned with added types of accomplishments apps you may have. Uselightweight apps for these purposes, e.g., you can install a music amateur that requires 1 MB accession amplitude (and appropriately beneath RAM too) than the ones acute 10 MB or more.

Web-based GUI
Infinite Monkeys’ web-based graphic user interface allows users to incorporate existing web content from social networking sites like Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, and blogging sites.
These web-based apps of course don’t compare to more advanced apps like Angry Birds, but they are great for small niche communities and businesses, such as school associations, sports teams, churches, musicians and restaurants, who want to share content privately or publicly.

Infinite Monkeys provides three different app platform models, ranging from free to the pro level version of $499. But for many users, the free HTML 5 web-based, and ad-supported model should suffice.

Building An App
Infinite Monkey provides a seriously easy step-by-step process for creating a smartphone app in less than an hour; that is if you have an ample amount of content already posted on the web.

The great thing about using a web-based platform is that you can constantly add content and updates to your app via your blog site, YouTube channel, photo sharing site, etc.
The Infinite Monkey web application uses a familiar drag-and-drop process. You start off by giving your app a title, followed by choosing a privacy setting. You can make the app public, or private for closed community access which will prompt users to enter a password to view content.

You can of course customize the background image and splash screen, as well as the font colors for the title and other text.

Core Content
The core content of your app consists of primarily news and third-party feeds such as your blog site(s) and specific URLs.

Infinite Monkeys includes additional content models for music and books, food and beverages, events, sports, reference materials, and location services such as a map and directions.
With the click of a button you can easily preview your app at any point in the development process. The online app also includes an embedded short video tutorial for each of the three part steps and multifunction tools.
You have poor control over the content of your app, including links to streaming videos, live chatrooms, shared calendars for upcoming events, shopping links to recommended products, and tap–t0–call phone contact information.

Publishing App
The free version of Infinite Monkeys allows you to instantly post your HTML 5 version immediately to the web so that anyone with a web-enabled smartphone can access it through the assigned URL.

Since your app is ad-supported, Infinite Monkeys will host it for free on their server. While it is not nearly as polished as professional apps that you will find in say the iTunes App Store, it does provide a way for anyone to get their content into this space.

There's a better way to manage your inbox--let SaneBox do most of the work for you.
Email is a pain. There are simply too many messages to handle—and I'm not even talking about spam from marketers (I use a separate address to collect those emails). The headache is the increasing number of legitimate business messages—it's a humongous time-suck that only seems to be getting worse.
Two years ago I answered nearly every message. A year ago I downgraded to at least trying to read them all. Last winter I started scanning the sender subject fields concentrating on the ones coming from people I knew or looked like they might contain information I needed. And lately, I've been considering closing my account and starting over with a private address reserved for only work colleagues and select sources.
Until, that is, I tried SaneBox.
It's like Gmail's Priority Inbox feature in that it looks at your messages and prior history engaging with those senders and decides which emails you're likely to deem most important.
When you turn on the Priority Inbox feature in Gmail, Google separates your email into three categories: Important and unread, Starred, and Everything Else; all the mail is still in your inbox, but the important messages are up top.
SaneBox is a bit different in that it removes less important messages from your inbox completely, moving them to an @SaneLater folder that you can peruse whenever you want. If SaneBox puts an important message into that folder you can move it to your inbox and it remembers the action so the next time you receive a message from that person, it will go to your inbox.
Priority Inbox is trainable in this way, as well; the more you move stuff around, the better it gets at categorization. But I prefer SaneBox.

SaneBox vs. Gmail's Priority Inbox

SaneBox gives you a custom dashboard including a timeline that graphs how many important and less important emails you get every day. My current average, according to SaneBox, is 81 a day. If I took a minute to read, digest, and respond to each one of them, that's nearly an hour and a half a day going through email. If you figure there's at least 250 work days in a year, I'm spending 375 hours annually on email. That's not acceptable.
In addition to the @SaneLater folder that stores non-essential messages, you can also enable folders such as @SaneNews for newsletters and @SaneBlackHole for those messages you want to send straight to your Trash. (Ha! Finally I'm getting revenge on a certain five-letter-titled fitness magazine that has not let me unsubscribe to its newsletters for two full years!)

Automated nagging!

And it also has a nifty feature that lets you CC or BCC a message to @SaneBox.com to remind you if someone doesn't respond.
So let's say you need an answer from your boss about a project and you need it no later than two days from now. In the CC field just include the address 2days@SaneBox.com and in two days SaneBox will put the message back in the top of your inbox if she never replied to it. This way you remember to bug her again.
SaneBox also creates an @SaneRemindMe folder that lets you keep track of all the messages to which you still need replies. Use oneweek@SaneBox.com, June5@SaneBox.com or 5minutes@SaneBox.com; it doesn't matter, SaneBox will figure out the time frame you need.
The service is $5 a month and works with email clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, iPhone, and Android and as well most email services like Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo, AOL, and Gmail.  The only service it doesn't currently support is Hotmail.

OTTAWA - BlackBerry unveiled a new low-cost smartphone on Tuesday that it intends to sell in emerging markets and elsewhere starting mid-year.

The so-called BlackBerry Q5 boasts a 7.9 centimeter (3.1 inch) touchscreen display, a full keyboard similar to its higher-end Q10 model, and runs on the same BB10 operating system launched in January.
"I know it's going to be a big hit," BlackBerry chief executive Thorsten Heins told an applications developer conference in Orlando, Florida that was webcast live.

The device looks similar to the Q10, and will be offered in multiple colors (black, white, red, and pink), and with many of the same features as its flagship Z10 and Q10 smartphones.

The BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 retail for $599. The company had signalled its intention to roll out a cheaper smartphone, but pricing for the Q5 has not yet been announced.

SEATTLE -- Microsoft Corp.'s forthcoming update to its personal computer operating system will be called Windows 8.1 and will be available later this year free to existing Windows 8 customers, the marketing chief for the Windows unit said on Tuesday.

The world's largest software company has been touting the update, previously code-named "Blue," as a series of improvements to the Windows 8 software, launched in October, which has not been as popular as it had hoped.
Microsoft has sold 100 million Windows 8 licenses in the six months since launch, roughly in line with the previous version, but wants to combat sputtering interest in its flagship software with a substantial update to make it easier to use and compatible with smaller tablets.

"Windows 8.1 will be delivered as a free update to Windows 8 and to Windows RT and it will be easy to get right from the Windows start screen through the app store," said Tami Reller, head of finance and marketing at Microsoft's Windows unit.

A preview version of Windows 8.1 will be made available at the start of Microsoft's annual developer conference on June 26, Reller said, with the finished update released later this year.

“We appreciate the opportunity to partner with KRCS, based on our expertise. As a global ICT leader with local presence, it is our responsibility as a company to care for the lives of our Kenyan people. Accidents, fires, natural disasters, all these incidences are not planned for, they just happen but we must be prepared. This partnership is a sign of our commitment to be part of a solution when disaster strikes,” said Wind Li, CEO Huawei Technologies in Kenya.
Li added that the partnership was timely as this year’s ITU World Telecommunication Information Society Day (WTISD) approaches next week with the theme ICTs and improving road safety.
The collaboration will set up a system to collect real time and accurate data from the field which will be used to appeal to the public and gain understanding, connections and partnership.
While appreciating Huawei Technologies for this noble donation, Yusuf Nyakinda, the E-Plus Operations Manager said:
“Time is life, and therefore, the preparation, efficient and timely communication will significantly reduce response time leading to saving more lives; eventually, medical information sharing and real time communication of medical conditions with our hospital partners will also be efficient. Further, we shall have data that we can research on to help us manage pre-hospital care based on evidence practice”.
The ambulances will be furnished with high- end devices that will build capacity for effective response and transmission of information to the emergency and disaster centres.
Members of this service will have 24 hour rapid response ambulance services, 24 hour-7 days a week, medical helpline, paramedics trained in Pre-hospital Care, State-of-the art Pre-hospital care equipment, countrywide presence and affordability.

NEW YORK - Yahoo! has begun talks with the popular blogging platform Tumblr about an acquisition or strategic alliance, the technology website AllThingsD reported Friday.

The Dow Jones-owned website said Yahoo! is eyeing the move to attract more users from the key 18 to 24-year-old age bracket, and that the Internet pioneer sees Tumblr as one of the "coolest" sites.

The report said talks between the two firms were "serious" but that nothing had been finalized.

Yahoo! has been looking at a range of acquisitions since Marissa Mayer took over as chief executive last year and vowed to revive the company, which has faded in the face of competition from Google.
AllThingsD said Tumblr co

uld fetch as much as $1 billion, and that its current valuation based on investments is believed to be in the range of $800 million.

The report said Tumblr is interested in "strategic" investments, which could mean some kind of alliance.
Yahoo! recently failed in a bid to take over the online video site Dailymotion after the French government, which owns a stake, quashed the deal. The California firm is now reported to be interested in another video website, Hulu.
