Galaxy S4 Active: Made for the Adventurous (and Clumsy?)
Samsung finally released the S4 variant with additional features to make it withstand extreme conditions. Galaxy S4 Active can withstand being 1 meter underwater for 30 minutes even with a headphone attached to its 3.5mm jack.
Samsung also added a software feature to the S4 Active's camera
called Aqua Mode which improves the quality of photos taken underwater.
This is a trade off with the lower resolution 8 MP rear camera compared
to the 13 MP of the original S4.

Galaxy S4 Active vs the Original Galaxy S4
Besides the more rugged design and features, there are only
two differences between the Active and the original S4 - the camera and
the screen. The camera is downgraded to an 8 MP sensor from 13 MP while
the screen is also downgraded to LCD from an AMOLED one.
These two features are trade off with the extra features for
the Galaxy S4 Active. With it, you can be free from worrying about your
phone when you go hiking, camping or swimming.
But be careful though. It might be water ad dust proof but
there is no word yet about the amount of force it can take. You might
still break it if the force is strong enough. Don't you drop it while
SCUBA diving too because it can only resist water from sipping in for 30
minutes.
